Lindsey Boyls, MSW, LCSW
Therapist, Fun Coach and Founder
As one of the founders of Stories of Hope, hearing people’s stories is a passion of Lindsey's. As a clinical social worker, she strives to meet people where they are at in life, join with them in their journey, and help them work through any problems that they are facing. Her goal is to help them know that they are not alone, and there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if they do not yet see it. She enjoys helping clients to recognize their own strengths and resources that they encompass within themselves. As a Fun Coach, she joins with clients to help them re-discover joy in their lives, while emphasizing the power of play!
Lindsey graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 2012 with her Master’s in Social Work. Prior to that, she graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work, and from Tulsa Community College with an Associate's Degree in Spanish.
Lindsey has worked in community mental health for 4 years since graduating with her master’s degree. She has enjoyed the challenge of working with diverse populations in her 4 years of clinical practice. She has worked with children, teens, young and older adults, with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, oppositional defiance, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral problems. She uses a variety of methods to help clients, including but not limited to: cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, solution focused, person-centered, narrative, art therapy techniques, play therapy techniques, and motivational interviewing techniques. She is currently working towards her play therapy certification and utilizes play with all clients-regardless of age!
She looks forward to sharing in your journey with you, and to getting to know your story!
